Senior Engineer - Network Management

We are having an Urgent opening for Senior Engineer - Network Management with Top IT Company for Bangalore Location.

Job Description:

a)Analyze support request and alert generated issues.
b)Technical excellence in service delivery to maximize billable time and customer satisfaction and to minimize non-billable time.
c)Interact directly with Vendor for any escalated issues to resolve issues or implement changes.
d)Documentation of knowledge base articles and environmental Visio diagrams will also be required.
e)Participate in an on -call rotation of some night and weekend shift support with peers for after-hours support.
f)NMS ? Familiarity with SNMP (V1/V2), CIM, JMX standards Configuration, Installation , trouble shooting of routers, switches (Cisco NEXUS 7600) and firewalls Port configuration Configuration of TCP/IP (V4/V6), RIP/OSPF/BGP/STP protocol parameters. Interface with ISPs for troubleshooting WAN link issues Security protocol (SSL, Kerberos) Proactive management and Preventive maintenance of L2/L3 components Setup, Manage, Configure
?HIDS, NIDS, SYSLOG, VPN, RADIUS servers Visio design/diagramming skil ls added advantage Best Practices and Work Ethic Working with ticket queue to track tasks and projects Documenting on a wiki and in Visio all network topology changes Customer Facing with excel lent social skills Monitoring tools development Consolidate and provide metrics and performance scorecard Monthly reviews with Clients , IT Managers Interface with Business Managers / IT managers of different business for transition issues.
