1. Position:

 

Senior Analyst - IT Infrastructure Technical Support (Network Administration)

 

2. Background to position:

 

ITS (Infrastructure Technical Support) team responsibilities span in to multiple functional areas: Network Administration, Datacenter support, Operating system Administration, storage ,Helpdesk support etc. A suitable candidate is required to share the responsibility of Network Administration function of the unit. The candidate will be reporting to ITS Manager.

 

3. Summary:

Network Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of networks including LAN and WAN. Role requires candidate with ability to resolve complex network problems design network solutions, monitor and manage network security. The candidate should be able to produce network performance statistics, network diagnostic information. Candidate will be responsible for all network related documentations, coordinating with vendor for O/S updates, keep up and maintenance of network equipment.

Reports to Manager Infrastructure Technical Support

5. Duties and Responsibilities:

The position requires maintaining and monitoring all aspects of network infrastructure, ensuring uptime and security with Bank's standards.

 

• Responsible for managing the design, implementation and operations for enterprise and site networked systems.
  
• Have experience in developing Network Policy, Internet policy documentation, System standards, Operation procedures required for the ongoing operation and support.
  

  o    Managing and Maintaining Cisco,Fortigate and Juniper firewalls.
  

  o    Administration of WAN which includes MPLS and ATM technologies.
  

  o    Administration of F5 appliances , includes LTM,GTM and LC.
  

  o    Configuring, modifying and maintaining access policies as required.
  

  o    Monitoring links, accesses and performance of Firewalls and Switches
  

  o    Monitoring links and utilisation on a continuous basis..
  

  o    Managing Multilayer LAN switches & Routers.
  

  o    Managing remote VPN access and monitoring them.
  

  o    Managing connectivity to remote sites.
  

  o    Managing and maintaining change control procedure for WAN access.
  

  o    Maintaining Security and testing failover of the firewalls/switches.
  

 

 

5. Qualifications & technical requirements

o    Bachelors Degree

o    Minimum 4-5 years post qualification experience on LAN & WAN network

o Experience in enterprise class networks and data enters.

o    Expertise in multi vendor Firewall configuration and management.

O Experience in MPLS environment.

O    Expert level knowledge in BGP, EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols.    

O Good understanding of Access list, VPN groups and routing protocols.

o    Knowledge of Layer2 and Layer 3 switches, VLAN, links like ISDN, Voice and data Network.

o    Managing, monitoring and troubleshooting Site-to-Site VPN

o    CCNP, CCIE ,CCSP and Fortigate Firewall certifications are desirable.
